ReplyDeleteThat's what you get living in bush village, Alaska! Fresh produce is really hard to come by (in fact, anything that spoils is hard to get). Hence--atrocious prices. That's why Andy and Wendy and the kids have a lot of canned and frozen fruits and vegetables; they don't go bad, and they can buy them in Anchorage for a better price and mail them to Naknek.
